Are you ready to laugh your socks off while enjoying a fun and spirited drinking game with friends? Look no further, folks! Introducing the hilarious Uno Drinking Card Game – the ultimate way to level up your party nights.

Setting up the game

Place the cards face down in a neat stack, like a sneaky surprise waiting to be unveiled.

How to play

One courageous player starts by drawing the first card, and the game proceeds clockwise. The card drawn determines who has the "honor" of drinking.

Bottoms up! You'll have to drink when:

  1. Your card has the same value as the previous player's card (imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, right?).
  2. You draw the same color as the previous player (color coordination is key!).
  3. You draw a reverse card (surprise twist, anyone?).

If you're using regular playing cards, you can designate the Jack as the reverse card, adding a touch of royal flair to the game.

Draw a skip card, and you become the master of fate, choosing a lucky player to take a swig. With a draw-two card, the next player drinks up, while a draw-four card unites the group in collective tipsiness as everyone drinks.

The objective of the game is to survive the round without having to drink too much (good luck with that!).

How much you'll be drinking: Let's just say the Uno Drinking Game isn't for the faint-hearted. A bottle of beer can vanish faster than you can say "hiccup," and if you're playing with shots, be prepared for a morning-after headache of epic proportions. Just remember, almost every time a card is drawn, drinks are flowing, so stay hydrated, my friends!

Bring out the Uno cards, gather your buddies, and brace yourselves for a night of laughter and hilarity with this witty and uproarious drinking game. Cheers!

Very simple and easy to follow rules that don't require much concentration or effort to play Up and Down the River drinking card game.

Gameplay

Before the game starts one person must be designated as the dealer. The dealer has to shuffle the deck(s) of cards. Once the shuffling is done then 4 cards are dealt to each player face up and placed in front of the player.

First Round

Now that each player has 4 cards in front of them (face up), it is now time to begin the journey up the river.

The dealer must now pick a card from the remaining cards in the deck and place it face up. Each player has to compare their cards with this card. If you have a card with the same value then you must drink once, if you have multiple cards with this value then you must drink once for each card.

Example: the dealer reveals a king and you have two kings. You must drink twice, if you have one king then you drink once.

Round Two to Round Four

These rounds are played the same way as the first round, the only difference is the number of drinks. Once again, in round two the dealer reveals another card from the remaining cards in the deck. This time you must drink two times if you have a card that matches the revealed card. In round three, you must drink three times and in round four you drink four times.

Example: In round two the dealer reveals a queen. If you have a queen you must drink twice, if you have two queens then you drink four times. In round three the dealer reveals a jack, if you have a jack you drink three times, if you have two jacks then you drink six times. Finally, in round four the dealer reveals a 10. If you have a 10 then you drink four times, if you have two tens then you drink eight times.

Round Five - Returning Down the River

In this round everyone starts their adventure back down the river. Once again the dealer reveals a card in round five, but starting from this round you now give out drinks to another player if you have the matching card(s). You can give out four drinks for each matching card in round five, and this goes down each round after.

Example: dealer reveals a 9 in round five. If you have one nine then you give out four drinks to another player. If you have two nines then you give out eight drinks but can split these up so one player gets four drinks and another gets four, or you can be a savage and give them all to one player - whatever floats your boat.

Round Six to Eight

These rounds are similar to round five in that the dealer reveals a card each round and you get to give out drinks. The only difference is the number of drinks you can give out each round. In round six you can give out three drinks per matching card, round seven you can give out two, and round eight you give out one.

Example: In round six the dealer reveals an 8. If you have one eight then you give out three drinks, if you have two eights then you give out six drinks, and if you have three eights then you give out nine drinks. Once again, you can split these up for each matching card so three different players can get three drinks each or you can give the whole nine seconds to one player.

Round seven the dealer reveals a 7. If you have one seven then you give out two drinks, two sevens let you give out four drinks. Finally, in round eight the dealer reveals a 6. You can give out one drink if you have a six or two drinks if you have two sixes.

After the eighth round is played, the game is over and everyone returns their cards to the deck. A new dealer can be chosen or the same person can be dealer again. The dealer shuffles the deck(s) of cards then restarts the process for a new game.

Setup for Beeramid Drinking Game

Beeramid (rhymes with pyramid, go figga) is a game that involves a tremendous amount of drinking.

A Beeramid (pyramid) of cards is constructed by placing a certain number of cards face down in a row (usually five depending on the number of people) as the base and building up with each level having one less card until there is one card as the top of the Beeramid. The remaining cards are distributed as evenly as possible among the players and kept hidden from other players. Before the game begins every player is allowed to look over their own cards and organize them any way they like, afterward the cards are kept face down in a horizontal line in front of the player and they are not allowed to look at them again once the game begins. Allow some time for players to set this up before starting the game.

For the beeramid we recommend:

Beeramid Game Rules

The dealer turns over the first card at the base of the beeramid and calls out the card value. Anyone who claims to have that card may give out one drink. The person called out may either drink or call the bluff by saying “bullshit”. If the first person has the card after all, they must pick the card and the victim drinks twice the amount. If the first player doesn’t have the card or picks up a wrong card from their face down cards, the first player drinks twice.

Once a row of the Beeramid is completed, the first card on the next row is drawn, and every card now has the same value as its row. Each person with a card on the second row can give two drinks, on the third row three drinks, all the way up to the fifth (or the last) row. All bullshit calls double the value of the row, of course, making them risky propositions as time goes on.

If someone has more than one of a card (say a five is drawn and someone has two fives in their face down cards) they can give both fives to the same person or split them up. They need to show both cards if bullshit is called.

In the fifth row (or last row), if people are taking honest drinks, a bullshit call should result in about a full beer consumption by somebody. For this purpose, we usually buy a bottle or two of a heinous-tasting beer (your choice) to serve as the “Penalty Beer”. Anyone losing a bullshit challenge on the final row must finish the Penalty Beer without taking it away from their lips…

This game has a surprisingly high intoxication factor, especially if played with more than five levels.

How to Play Higher Lower Drinking Game – Rules

Player one is dealt a card. They then guess whether the next card will be higher or lower than the card they were just dealt. If wrong, they drink once (because one card was showing). If correct, they guess again. After taking at least three cards, the player may choose to continue or pass, BUT ONLY after taking at least three cards. If the player says pass, the next player starts where the previous one left off.

When a player guesses incorrectly, they drink for each card showing. SO, the strategy is to build up a lot of cards and then pass them to the next player.

Before play starts, determine by voting if identical cards (ex. card showing is a 5 and the next card flipped over is also a 5) are a loss or correct guess.

Bus Driver Drinking Game Rules

The game begins with cards being dealt and players are not allowed to look at their cards yet. The dealer hands out one card at a time to each player until everyone has a total of 4 cards each. Before they are allowed to see the cards, each player has to guess certain things. With every correct answer the player can give out drinks to others, but with every wrong answer they must drink themselves.

1st round (1 sip)
Before the first card is flipped over every player has to answer whether the color will be “black or red” then flip over their first card. If they guess right then they give out one sip to another player, if wrong they take a drink.

2nd Round (2 sips)
Once everyone has one card flipped over we move to the next question – higher or lower. Each player now has to guess whether the next card they flip over will be higher or lower than their first card. They give out two sips if they guessed correctly, take two sips if they guessed wrong or the card was the same number/value as the first card.

For example, if you flipped over a 7 for the first round you must now guess whether the next card flipped over will be higher or lower than 7.

3rd Round (3 sips)
Inside or outside – after each player has two cards flipped over they must now guess if the value of their third card will be inside or outside of their first two cards. If the player gets a card that has the same value as either of their first two cards then it is counted as inside. They get to give out three sips if they guessed correctly, take three sips if they guessed wrong.

For example, the first card was a 7 and the second card was a 10 so if the player guesses that the third card is inside and the third card ends up being an 8 they guessed correctly. If they guessed inside and get a 7 or 10 they are still correct, but if they guessed outside then they drink.

4th Round (4 sips)
For the last round/card each player has to guess whether it will be a spade, heart, diamond or club. They get to give out four sips if guessed correctly, take four sips if guessed wrong.

Determining who will be the bus driver
After everyone has four cards flipped over we will determine who will be the bus driver. Begin by placing two rows of cards face down with four cards in each row and determine which row will be for taking drinks and which will be for giving out drinks. Now flip over one card at a time from the right side beginning with either the take or give row, after two cards are flipped over from both rows move to the next cards. Players must drop their cards if they match a card being flipped over from the row. The goal of this part is to get rid of as many cards as possible. The first two cards from each row are a sip each, the second two cards from each row are two sips each, and so on… After all the cards in the rows are flipped over whoever has the most cards left is the bus driver.

Setting Up for Kings Cup Drinking Game

Before the game begins, place the King’s Cup (a big empty cup) in the middle of the table. Shuffle the deck of cards then place them around the king’s cup in a circle facedown. One person begins the game by flipping over any card. Each card has a different rule attached to it and the rule must be followed before the next person can flip their card. According to house rules, the game ends when either the king’s cup has been consumed or the last card has been drawn.

Kings Cup Rules

(Same rules for all suites, we just used Hearts for illustration purposes)

Waterfall – everyone puts their drink to their lips and waits for the person who picked up this card to start drinking. Once that person starts drinking then everyone begins chugging their drink. The person who started can stop whenever they want then the next person (clockwise) has the same option to continue drinking or stop, and so on until the last player

The classic “you” – pick anyone in the game to drink

Me – the person who picked up this card has to drink for three seconds

Four for whores – all the ladies have to drink

Jive – whoever picked this card has to bust a dance move then the next person has to add onto it and so on until someone messes up and they have to drink

Dicks – all the guys have to drink

Heaven – Everyone has to point to the sky and the last person to do so has to drink

Mate – whoever picked this card gets to choose one person that has to drink every time they do

Bust a rhyme – the person who picked this card has to say a word and the next person has to try to rhyme with it. This goes on until someone cannot think of a word that rhymes

Category – the person who picked this card chooses a category. The next person has to say something that is relevant to the category that the first person picked and this goes around until someone cannot think of something. A good example is sex positions

Thumb Master – the person who picked this card is now the thumb master. Until somebody else gets a jack, this person can put their thumb anywhere on their forehead at any time and the last person to do the same has to drink

Question Master – whoever picked this card is the question master. Until somebody else picks a queen – they can ask any question and if someone answers them they have to drink

Make a rule – the person who picked this card can make any one rule and it has to be followed until someone else gets a king. Whoever breaks the rule has to drink. The first three people to get a king must pour their drinks into the cup in the middle. The last person to get a king has to pour their drink into the cup but also drink the whole cup.

Mau Mau is a highly popular card game played all around the world like the United States, Brazil, Poland, Germany, Austria, and the list goes on. Classic Mau Mau is very simple and easy to play so it only made sense that we convert this game into a fun party and drinking game.

For Mau Mau drinking game we have adopted and simply expanded the classic rules with additional rules for drinking. So not only will you have fun with Mau Mau, but you can also catch a buzz making the game that much more fun to play.

Mau Mau Game Rules

Begin by shuffling the deck of cards thoroughly, and if there are more than 5 players it would be beneficial to add a second deck of cards to the mix.

Deal out 5 cards to each player and the remaining cards are placed face down on the table in a pile, the dealer reveals the first card. The player to his left starts the game.

The aim of the game is to get rid of all of your cards. If it is your turn, you can discard a card from your hand to match the card most recently flipped over or dropped by another player (same color or same card value). If you do not have a card that is the same color or card value in your hand then you must draw a card from the facedown cards pile.

In addition, different cards have their own rules. You should agree on these rules before the game so that there are no discussions later.

Mau Mau Card Rules

7 – The next player must draw 2 cards and drink 2 sips. Seven can be extended, so if another seven comes up after the initial seven then next person has to drink 4 sips and draw 4 cards, and so on until the last card dropped wasn’t a seven.

8 – The next player must draw 1 card and drink 1 sip.

9 – change the direction in which the game is being played (clockwise or counterclockwise).

Jack – The player gets to choose the color for the next card. In addition, he chooses a player who now has to drink.

Queen – All women drink.

King – All men drink.

Ace – All players except yourself must drink. The next player misses their turn.

Top Card Drinking Game Rules & How to Play

Start the game by dealing everyone eight cards, you can use as many decks as you need to. The rest of the cards go in the middle of the table. Someone starts by flipping one card from the top of the deck that is at the center of the table. The first player begins by laying down cards that add up or match that numerical value, for example, let’s say you flip a seven so the first player would have to either put down a seven, five and two, or four and three… You get the idea – they can use as many cards as they need to match it. They then place those cards on top of the deck in any way they want, so they can determine which card comes up next. If they cannot match the card then they must drink and pick up two cards from the deck.

The next player has to match the new top card, if they can do this using fewer cards compared to the person before them then they can choose a person to drink and the same person or another person to pick up two cards from the deck.

The goal of this game is to get rid of all your cards before everyone else. The winner gets to give out three drinks – they can give them all to one person or split them up.

Card Values:

Go Fish Drinking Game Rules & How to Play

Everyone gets 5 cards. The rest of the cards are spread out in the middle of the table. You are able to play with multiple decks if you must. First player goes fishing (picks a card out of the deck) and flips it up.

Everyone must immediately lay down a card higher or identical . If they are unable to do so, they may pick up one card from the fish pond. They must play the card they picked up, if not they need to drink. The last man that either lays down their card or drinks must drink two times. All the cards played are then mixed back into the fish pond. The highest card laid down begins the next round.

If a player lays down a KING then before the next round begins, everyone must pass their whole hand to their right.

First player to drop all their cards wins! They may give out 4 drinks to whoever they want.

Asshole Drinking Game Rules & How to Play

The game begins with deciding who the President, Vice President, Normal People, and Asshole are for the next round.

Begin by dealing 6 or 7 cards to each player, you can deal more or less depending on how many people are playing. The cards are ranked according to the following (most powerful to least powerful):

2, A, K, Q, J, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, and 3

One person goes first by playing any card, then the next person has two options:

  1. To play any card higher, but not the same
  2. Or pass on their turn

Example: If the first player drops a 4 then the next player must drop a card that is higher than a 4, then the next player has to play a card higher than that card. Once all players pass, or when someone drops a 2 (the most powerful card) then a new hand begins. The person who dropped the last card begins the new hand.

This keeps going on until everyone has gotten rid of their cards. The person who drops all their cards first is the President for the next round, the next one to drop all their cards is the Vice President, whoever drops their cards after the Vice President are normal, and the one who drops their cards last is the Asshole.

Whoever is leading, or going first, can drop any two identical cards such as two 5’s, the next person must play two identical cards that are HIGHER than five but cannot drop one or three cards, only two identical cards higher than 5’s. The same applies if the leading person drops three or four identical cards, if nobody can match these then the leading person continues to drop cards until someone can beat them or a two is dropped, which beats everything else, and the hand ends followed with a new lead.

Asshole Drinking Game Roles

President: Can give out drinks to anyone at any time. Nobody can make the president drink but the President. President gets to start each round and should never have to refill their own drink.

Vice President: Similar to President, can give out drinks to anyone at any time (except for the President). Only the president or the vice president can make the Vice President drink. The vice president is second each round (after the president).

Normal People: Normal people can make each other drink and the Asshole. They play in turn according to the order they finished in the previous round. First normal out after the Vice President is third to act, second normal out is fourth to act, etc.

Asshole: This player is truly the Asshole. They must deal the cards, sweep the cards after a hand, and can’t make anyone drink. Asshole plays last in each round.

A few recommendations, at the end of each round, the players should move seats in order to reflect the hierachy, and proper playing order. Play your lowest cards first. Abuse the power when Pres or VP, but remember it will always come back to haunt you, especially when abusing the Asshole.

Some Tips: At the end of each round all players should move seats to reflect the order in which they will act (president, vice president, first normal, second normal, etc). You should try to play your lowest cards first, and abuse your powers if you are President or Vice President, but remember not to make too many enemies as it will come back to bite you in the ass.

You may play as many rounds as you like!
